Domestic Violence Prevention




Domestic violence is a prevalent issue in the United States. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence that domestic abuse makes is up 15 percent of all violent crime, and 20 Americans are physically abused by their partners every minute. Because 19 percent of domestic assaults involve some form of weapon, it is no surprise that criminal justice professionals often encounter these situations in the field. With this course, you will obtain knowledge on how to identify and assist in the care of the client experiencing abuse and safety measures for the prevention of harm to the client.
